"There is misconception among people that gynaecologist try and do unnecessary caesarean deliveries. I am a very strong proponent of normal delivery and always advise expecting mothers to be active during the term of pregnancy. This enhances the chance of having the normal delivery. Even for working females my advise is to carry on with your office as far as possible as it gives you a good walk and exercise. But yes you need to be cautious as well and be regular with your check up, tests and good diet. However there are certain conditions like free floating head of child, multiple cords around neck or other medical where as a gynaecologist I do not have any option other than caesarean delivery. For a good term of pregnancy remember and follow 4 mantras - Good Diet, Regular Health Checkup, Be Happy and Trust your Gynaecologist"
